What is Spectrum Reiki and is it safe for children?

3

Spectrum Reiki is a gentle, calming therapy that helps release emotional tension and encourage relaxation. It involves light touch or hands positioned just above the body in a peaceful environment.

Children remain fully clothed and sessions are adapted to ensure they feel comfortable and secure at all times.

Many parents choose this therapy for children who find it difficult to express emotions through talking.

What happens during a mindset coaching session?

4

Mindset coaching sessions provide practical emotional support for both parents and young people.

Sessions may include:

• Understanding emotional triggers
• Learning calming techniques
• Building confidence and resilience
• Developing coping strategies for anxious thoughts
• Guidance for parents supporting their child at home

Each session is shaped around your current challenges and goals.

We believe emotional wellbeing improves when families feel supported together.

This depends on your family’s needs and the challenges you are facing.

Some families benefit from short-term support, while others prefer ongoing sessions for continued guidance and reassurance.

We discuss this together during your initial consultation.

No.

Our services provide complementary wellbeing support and do not replace medical care, counselling or clinical mental health services.

We work alongside families and, where appropriate, alongside other professionals involved in your child’s care.

This is very common.

We create a calm, welcoming environment and move at a pace that feels safe. Children are never pressured to talk or participate before they are ready.

Gentle therapies are often helpful for children who struggle in more formal settings.

Yes.

All sessions are private and confidential. Your family’s experiences are treated with respect, sensitivity and care.

We are based in Sandown, supporting families across the Isle of Wight, including Shanklin, Lake, Bembridge and surrounding communities.

Full location details are provided when booking.
